Job summary

Mullins Mechanical seeks a Compliance Specialist to support enterprise-wide compliance within the accounting and finance function. The role focuses on sales and use tax oversight, prequalification management, subcontractor compliance, and licensing support.

You will coordinate across accounting, operations, project teams, and external partners to reduce risk and ensure timely project execution, while maintaining documentation and calendars for renewals and filings.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in accounting, compliance, tax administration or related roles.
• Construction industry experience in multi-state contractor preferred.
• Proficient with Excel, Word, Outlook and accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multi-state sales and use tax compliance and exempt documentation.
• Coordinate tax research and respond to audits with internal teams.
• Maintain customer, vendor, and subcontractor prequalification records.
• Support contractor licensing, registrations, and renewals.
• Manage lien waiver processes and documentation.
• Maintain compliance calendars and prepare management reports.
