Job summary

Gilbane Building is seeking a Senior Claims Specialist to manage a single line of insurance across multiple divisions, with advanced knowledge of claims. The role sits primarily in the office and involves investigating subcontractor default and builder's risk claims, as well as construction and financial analysis.

You will coordinate with project teams, insurers, adjusters, and brokers; review cost records and change orders; and identify exposures and recovery opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in claims or related industries.
• Construction project management, risk management, or builder's risk claim experience preferred.
• Experience handling subcontractor default claims and builder's risk claims is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, document, and administer subcontractor default claims.
• Assist in builder's risk claims investigations and documentation, including proofs of loss.
• Review project financial records and supporting documents to identify claim exposures and recovery opportunities.
