Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Business Development Manager to own the pipeline in the construction market. You will cultivate relationships with general contractors, owners and design firms, coordinate proposals with engineering, and drive opportunities to signed testing work.

You will travel locally to visit clients and attend pre-bid meetings, reporting monthly on pipeline progress and forecast accuracy.

Qualifications

• 5+ years selling professional or technical services to the construction industry.
• Existing network of contractors, owners, or design firms in the market.
• Disciplined pipeline habits: documented, forecastable, and honest.
• Comfortable discussing specs and schedules with superintendents and owners.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage a target list of contractors, owners, developers and design firms.
• Own relationships end to end; track permits, bid boards and project announcements.
• Run the pursuit pipeline from first contact to signed agreement in the CRM.
• Coordinate proposals with engineering: scope, pricing, qualifications, and follow-up.
• Represent the company at industry events; report pipeline and results monthly.
