Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Business Development Manager to own a market consisting of general contractors, owners, developers and design firms. You will manage the pipeline and close deals with a seller-doer engineer pricing the technical work.

Your responsibilities include building a target list, tracking permits and bid boards, pursuing opportunities, coordinating with the engineering team, and representing the company at industry events. Travel locally is expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years selling professional or technical services to the construction industry.
• Existing network in contractors, owners, or design firms in the posting market.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage a target list of contractors, owners, developers and design firms.
• Own relationships end to end and track permits, bid boards, and project announcements to pursue work.
• Run the pursuit pipeline from first contact through proposal, negotiation and signed agreement.
• Coordinate proposals with engineering: scope, pricing, qualifications and follow-up.
• Represent the company at industry associations, pre-bid meetings and client events; report pipeline and results monthly.
