Qualifications

  • 3+ years in commercial construction accounting.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Pro Desktop.
  • Strong AP/AR, GL, and payroll experience.
  • In-house payroll processing experience.
  • Excel and Microsoft Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Record and reconcile project costs in QuickBooks (GL, job cost, AP/AR).
  • Process payments to subcontractors and vendors; track lien releases and 20-day notices.
  • Generate client invoices and pay applications.
  • Manage monthly GL, bank, and credit card reconciliations.
  • Handle full-cycle, in-house payroll (biweekly), including tax filings, W2s, W9s, 940/941, garnishments.
  • Perform insurance audits and worker’s comp compliance.
  • Serve as HR lead: monitor hours, track deductions, manage employee records.
  • Support accounting needs for real estate properties (e.g., rent tracking, vendor payments).
  • Manage bid board and estimator assignments.
  • Coordinate reports and data for CPA and upper management.

Position Overview

This role oversees a wide range of responsibilities in accounting, contracts, payroll, and HR. Ideal candidates will be confident, proactive, and detail-driven with deep experience in construction accounting and QuickBooks Pro Desktop. This is a hands-on role requiring someone who thrives in a fast-paced and collaborative setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Record and reconcile project costs in QuickBooks (GL, job cost, AP/AR)
