Job summary

Sanford Barrows Group is seeking an experienced Construction Bookkeeper to join its close-knit, family-owned team in Miami. The role focuses on construction accounting, including AIA billings, job-cost management, and contract administration.

You will prepare financial statements, process invoices, and support change orders while coordinating with subcontractors and vendors. The ideal candidate has strong organizational and people-management skills in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Three years of construction bookkeeping or office-management experience.
• Familiarity with AIA contracts and billing procedures.
• Strong knowledge of construction accounting and financial statements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements and monthly AIA billings.
• Manage owner, subcontractor, and vendor contracts.
• Process invoices and track Notices to Owner.
• Manage job costs, accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Maintain subcontractor insurance and workers’ compensation records.
• Support change orders and monthly subcontractor billing.
• Partner with the Vice President to train and supervise office staff.
• Oversee the receptionist and limited office-management duties.
