Job summary

ConstructionBookkeeper role in Fleming Island, FL, onsite with a growing, family-owned commercial construction company. You will handle day-to-day bookkeeping, payroll, and project costing across multiple active projects, ensuring accurate financials and timely reporting.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of construction bookkeeping experience, deep QuickBooks knowledge, and experience with AIA billing. This is a hands-on role in a smaller team where we wear many hats.

Qualifications

• Construction industry experience required.
• 3+ years bookkeeping/accounting experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online.
• Experience with AIA billing and full-cycle bookkeeping.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting functions.
• Manage full-cycle bookkeeping using QuickBooks Online.
• Process payroll for 50 employees.
• Prepare and manage monthly AIA billing for construction projects.
• Perform job costing and maintain project financial records.
• Complete account and bank reconciliations.
• Manage invoicing, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.

We are a growing, family-owned and operated commercial construction company looking for an experienced Construction Bookkeeper to become a key member of our team. This is not a narrowly defined accounting role. We are looking for someone who enjoys wearing many hats, taking ownership, and being the go-to person for the day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping functions of a business.
