Job summary

Construction Accounting Manager at TGG Accounting is seeking a hands-on leader to own the day-to-day accounting function for a growing construction company. You’ll manage month-end close, job costing, WIP, AIA billing, revenue recognition, and project financial reporting, partnering with operations to drive profitability.

You’ll build processes, internal controls, and scale the accounting infrastructure while collaborating with external CPAs on tax and year-end activities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of construction accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of job costing, WIP reporting, AIA billing, and percentage of completion accounting.
• Experience using QuickBooks Enterprise.
• Comfortable being a one-person accounting department.
• Proven ability to build processes, improve workflows, and create structure.
• Excellent communication skills across all levels of the business.

Responsibilities

• Own the day-to-day accounting function from start to finish.
• Manage month-end close, financial reporting, reconciliations, general ledger, AP/AR oversight, and cashflow.
• Lead all construction accounting activities including: Job costing, WIP reporting, AIA billing, Revenue recognition, Project financial reporting.
• Partner closely with operations and project teams to ensure project profitability.
• Develop better processes, reporting, and internal controls as the company scales.
• Collaborate with external CPA partners on tax and year-end activities.
• Help build the accounting infrastructure for the next stage of company growth.
