The Contractor Consultants is looking for a detail-oriented Construction Bookkeeper to manage financial records and accounting operations. This full-time, onsite role requires a minimum of 7 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in the construction industry.

You will handle tasks such as reconciliations, AIA billing management, and vendor payments. A bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred, alongside proficiency in accounting software.

This full-time, onsite role is critical to maintaining accurate financial records and supporting day-to-day accounting operations. Key Responsibilities

• Maintain general ledger and manage daily financial transactions
• Perform bank, credit card, and vendor reconciliations
• Process and review AIA billing forms and construction-related invoices
• Manage accounts payable/receivable and payroll records
• Generate financial reports and statements for management review
• Monitor vendor accounts, ensure timely payments, and resolve discrepancies
• Track expenses, allocations, and cost reports for ongoing projects
• Collaborate with project managers on job cost reporting and budgeting
• Assist in preparing for audits and tax filings
• Support implementation of financial systems and process improvements

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience, preferably in construction is required
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• Strong understanding of AIA billing, job cost accounting, and reconciliations
• Proficiency in accounting software (Sage or similar & Microsoft Suite)
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
• Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently
• High level of integrity in managing confidential financial information
