Job summary

Creative Financial Staffing, LLC is seeking a Billing & Collections Specialist in Capitol Heights, MD to manage AR, billing, and collections for commercial construction projects. You’ll work closely with project managers to ensure accurate invoicing and timely cash collection.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction accounts receivable, billing, and collections.
• Hands-on experience with AIA billing and progress draws.
• Understanding of retainage, lien waivers, and construction contract requirements.
• Proficiency with construction software such as Procore, Textura, Sage, Foundations, StarBuilder.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Current Notary Public certification or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Own the billing and collection process for commercial construction projects from start to finish.
• Prepare and submit monthly AIA pay applications and progress billings.
• Process billing through Procore, Textura, and related systems.
• Track contract values, change orders, retainage, and stored materials.
• Monitor payments and properly apply cash receipts; reconcile AR.
• Coordinate billing adjustments with project teams and support month-end close.
