Job summary

LHH is seeking a construction billing professional in Fremont, CA to manage invoices, collaborate with project managers, and support month-end close. The role requires at least two years of billing or accounts receivable experience within construction, strong attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will prepare invoices based on contracts, assist with pay applications, and maintain accurate billing records while communicating effectively

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Bachelor’s preferred).
• 2+ years of billing experience, preferably in construction or project-based environments.
• Familiarity with AIA billing and construction documentation processes.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit invoices based on project contracts, change orders, and work completed.
• Generate monthly billing packages including pay applications, schedules of values, affidavits, and lien waivers.
• Ensure invoices comply with contract requirements and client specifications.
• Submit invoices via customer portals or email and track billing status.
• Maintain organized billing records and archive billing history in the accounting system.
• Collaborate with project managers and clients to resolve billing discrepancies.
• Assist with month-end close and reporting related to billing.
