Job summary

LHH is assisting a client in Charlotte, NC by filling a Project Accounting Coordinator role focused on project billing in a construction environment. The position is a direct-hire, on-site opportunity supporting field operations and project teams.

Responsibilities include processing invoices, monitoring AR, coordinating with customers and field crews, and preparing monthly revenue forecasting and reports. Strong Excel and accounting software skills are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of Project Accounting, Billing, Accounts Receivable, or related accounting experience.
• Construction industry experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and accuracy.
• Ability to build positive relationships with customers, project managers, and field personnel.

Responsibilities

• Process and record customer invoices, payments, and revenue transactions accurately.
• Investigate account discrepancies and resolve issues with customers and field teams.
• Manage collections on overdue accounts and follow up on payment status.
• Monitor outstanding purchase orders and obtain necessary documentation.
• Maintain accurate billing records and tracking logs daily/weekly.
• Respond promptly to customer inquiries regarding invoices and balances.
• Assist with monthly revenue forecasting and project financial updates.
• Prepare and distribute accounts receivable and collections reports.
• Coordinate repair and service communications between customers and internal teams.
• Provide administrative and operational support to field personnel.
• Assist with estimating material requirements and inventory levels.
• Process and support material/service sales requests from field crews.
• Develop and maintain crew schedules, project timelines, and repair calendars.
• Partner with field operations to ensure accurate and timely project billing.
• Support special projects and other accounting/administrative initiatives as assigned.
