Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Business Development Manager to own the market pipeline and drive close on testing and inspection work. You will work with a seller-doer engineer pricing and sealing the technical side, while you focus on relationships, pipeline, and closing deals.

Your responsibilities include building a strong client network, tracking opportunities, coordinating proposals with the engineering team, and representing the company at events.

Qualifications

• 5+ years selling professional or technical services to the construction industry.
• An existing network of contractors, owners, or design firms in the posting market.
• Disciplined pipeline habits: forecastable and honest reporting.
• Comfort discussing specifications and schedules with a superintendent and contract terms with an owner.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage a target list of contractors, owners, developers, and design firms; own relationships end to end.
• Track permits, bid boards, and project announcements to pursue work before it is awarded.
• Qualify and pursue opportunities; run the pursuit pipeline in CRM from contact to signed agreement.
• Coordinate proposals with engineering: scope, pricing, qualifications, and follow-up.
• Represent the company at industry associations, pre-bid meetings, and client events; report pipeline monthly.
