Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Business Development Manager who owns the market and pipeline for testing and inspection services, building relationships with general contractors, owners, developers, and design firms.

You will work alongside a seller-doer engineer pricing and sealing the technical work; your focus is relationships, the pipeline, and closing. Base salary plus commission on collected revenue from accounts you develop.

Qualifications

• 5+ years selling professional or technical services to the construction industry.
• Existing network of contractors, owners, or design firms in the market.
• Disciplined pipeline habits: documented, forecastable, and honest.
• Comfortable talking specifications and schedules with a superintendent and contract terms with an owner.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage a target list of contractors, owners, developers, and design firms.
• Own relationships end to end and manage the pursuit pipeline in the CRM.
• Coordinate proposals with the engineering team: scope, pricing, qualifications, and follow-up.
• Represent the company at industry associations, pre-bid meetings, and client events.
• Report pipeline and results monthly.
• Travel locally as needed and to Sugar Land for planning.
