Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Business Development Manager to own the pipeline and close deals with general contractors, owners, developers, and design firms. You will work with a seller-doer engineer to price and seal the technical side while you drive relationships, pipeline, and revenue growth.

The role focuses on active account development, proposal coordination with the engineering team, and representation at industry events.

Qualifications

5+ years selling professional or technical services to the construction industry.
Existing network of contractors, owners, or design firms in the posting market.
Disciplined, forecastable pipeline management and honest reporting.
Ability to discuss specifications and schedules with a superintendent and owner contracts.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain a target list of contractors, owners, developers, and design firms; own relationships end to end.
Track permits, bid boards, and project announcements to identify work before award.
Qualify and pursue opportunities; manage the pursuit pipeline from first contact to signed agreement.
Coordinate proposals with engineering for scope, pricing, and qualifications; follow up.
Represent the company at industry associations, pre-bid meetings, and client events; report pipeline monthly.
