Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Business Development Manager based in the market to drive relationships with general contractors, owners, developers, and design firms. You will own the pipeline, coordinate proposals with the engineering team, and close deals for testing and inspection services.

The role combines field relationships with the engineer's pricing/technical support, offering a base salary plus commission on collected revenue and regular travel to client sites.

Qualifications

• 5+ years selling professional or technical services to the construction industry — testing, inspection, engineering, equipment, or subcontracting.
• An existing network of contractors, owners, or design firms in the market of the posting.
• Disciplined pipeline habits: documented, forecastable, and honest.
• Comfortable talking specifications and schedules with a superintendent and contract terms with an owner.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain a target list of contractors, owners, developers, and design firms in your market.
• Own relationships end to end and manage the pipeline from first contact to signed agreement.
• Coordinate proposals with the engineering team: scope, pricing, qualifications, and follow‑up.
• Report pipeline and results monthly.
