Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Business Development Manager to own the market of general contractors, owners, developers, and design firms. You will manage relationships, pipeline, and closed deals while collaborating with a seller-doer engineer on pricing and technical aspects.

Responsibilities include building a target list, end-to-end relationship management, and pipeline tracking from contact to signed agreement.

Qualifications

5+ years selling professional or technical services to the construction industry—testing, inspection, engineering, equipment, or subcontracting.
An existing network of contractors, owners, or design firms in the market of the posting.
Disciplined pipeline habits: documented, forecastable, and honest.
Comfortable talking specifications and schedules with a superintendent and contract terms with an owner.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain target list of contractors, owners, developers, and design firms.
Own relationships end to end and manage the pipeline.
Track permits, bid boards, and project announcements to pursue work before award.
Coordinate proposals with the engineering team: scope, pricing, qualifications, and follow-up.
Represent the company at industry associations, pre-bid meetings, and client events; report pipeline monthly.
