Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive revenue in the construction market. You will own relationships with general contractors, owners, developers, and design firms, manage the pipeline, and close deals with the help of a seller-doer engineer pricing the work.

The role focuses on building a robust pipeline, coordinating proposals with engineering, and representing the company at industry meetings. Travel locally and occasional trips may be required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years selling professional or technical services to the construction industry.
• Existing network of contractors, owners, or design firms in the posting market.
• Disciplined pipeline habits: documented, forecastable, and honest.
• Comfortable discussing specifications and schedules with superintendents and owners.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage a target list of contractors, owners, developers, and design firms; own relationships end to end.
• Track permits, bid boards, and project announcements to find work before it is awarded; qualify and pursue it.
• Coordinate proposals with engineering: scope, pricing, qualifications, and follow-up.
• Represent the company at industry associations and client events; report pipeline and results monthly.
