Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Business Development Manager to own the market of general contractors, owners, developers, and design firms. You will manage the pipeline, build relationships end to end, and close deals with a base salary plus commission on collected revenue.

You will work with a seller-doer engineer on pricing and technical scoping, travel locally, and report pipeline and results monthly, while representing the company at industry events and pre-bid meetings.

Qualifications

• 5+ years selling professional or technical services to the construction industry.
• Existing network of contractors, owners, or design firms in the posting market.
• Disciplined pipeline habits: forecastable and honest.
• Comfort discussing specs, schedules, and terms with superintendents and owners.

Responsibilities

• Build a target list of contractors, owners, developers, and design firms; own relationships end to end.
• Track permits, bid boards, and project announcements to find work before it is awarded; qualify and pursue it.
• Run the pursuit pipeline in the CRM from first contact through proposal, negotiation, and signed agreement.
• Coordinate proposals with the engineering team: scope, pricing, qualifications, and follow-up.
• Represent the company at industry associations, pre-bid meetings, and client events; report pipeline and results monthly.
