Job summary

Mortenson is seeking an Assistant Project Manager - Cost Controls to partner with the project manager from bid preparation through final client acceptance. Lead, coach, and mentor project team members while ensuring project cost control and financial discipline.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and at least five years of experience in construction management, with the ability to travel up to 100% and proficient MS Office and project tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• Minimum five years of related experience.
• Current driver’s license required.
• Ability to manage multiple project tasks and communicate Mortenson policies.
• Willingness to travel up to 100%.

Responsibilities

• Perform cost control and financial management.
• Coordinate project estimates and schedules with Preconstruction.
• Review pay applications, change requests, and other financial docs.
• Lead subcontractor buyout and contract administration.
• Mentor and coach project team members; ensure safe, timely completion.
