Mortenson Construction is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to partner with the Project Manager from bid through client acceptance. You will lead, coach, and mentor project team members to deliver on-time, on-budget projects.

The role involves cost control, subcontractor management, safety leadership, and coordinating with engineers and field staff to ensure quality and compliance across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a construction-related field.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and lead a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform cost control and financial management.
• Partner with Project Manager or Construction Executive; draft client proposals, administer contracts, and award subcontracts.
• Provide direction to the project team for safe and timely completion; mentor engineers and staff.
• Lead subcontractor and supplier management; oversee budget and buyout with trade partners; coordinate meetings.
• Perform on-site Project Manager duties on small projects; implement a quality plan to meet customer criteria.
• Build relationships across diverse teams and provide coaching and feedback to drive performance.
