Job summary

Ovation is seeking an experienced Construction Accounts Payable Specialist to support the Accounting team in our Construction division. The role involves reviewing and processing vendor invoices, ensuring contract compliance, and assisting with budgets, draw packages, and 1099-related tasks.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years in construction or commercial real estate accounting, strong Excel skills, and the ability to work diligently in a fast-paced environment while coordinating with project teams

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in commercial real estate development or construction accounting.
• Proficiency with Excel and Word; experience with a main-frame accounting system is required. Timberline experience is a plus.
• Ability to sit and use a computer for long periods and follow established processes.

Responsibilities

• Review, code, process, and enter vendor, sub-contractor, and general conditions invoices.
• Print and process related checks and monitor contract compliance before final invoice approval.
• Maintain vendor files and W-9s; assist with budgets, draw packages, and project accounting tasks.
• Collaborate with Project Accountants, Accounting Manager, and sub-contractors while upholding integrity.
