Job summary

The Waldinger Corporation is seeking an Accounting Manager - Construction to lead the accounting operations behind our construction business line. Embedded in the day-to-day financial engine of active projects, you will oversee job costing, billings, payables, and working capital while mentoring a team and partnering with project and operations leadership.

You will own end-to-end operational accounting, monthly closures, forecasts, and the year-end budgeting process, with travel as needed to

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of accounting experience, preferably with construction or project-based accounting.
• Bachelor’s/associate education in accounting or finance requirements.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple active projects.

Responsibilities

• Drive billing and accounts payable for the construction business line with accurate entry of estimates, contracts, and change orders.
• Lead the monthly job closure process and partner with corporate on questions.
• Own the monthly forecast process for construction units and report performance to leadership.
• Support year-end budgeting with senior leadership and ensure financial accuracy.
• Manage working capital: monitor billings, credit checks, and inventory carrying costs.
• Supervise and develop the construction accounting team.
