Job summary

JRM Construction Management, LLC is seeking an experienced Project Accountant to support concurrent Core & Shell and Interior projects. You will bridge accounting and project management to ensure accurate billing and financial reporting.

You will process AIAs, coordinate pay apps, and manage cost coding, invoicing, and forecasting while maintaining strong client service and proactive communication with project teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field.
• 5+ years of project accounting experience in construction (core/shell, ground-up, or interiors).
• Experience with cost coding, pricing, and purchase orders in construction.
• Understanding of contract types (CM at risk, GMP, Cost Plus).
• Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Process and review subcontractor AIAs for accuracy.
• Attend pencil meetings to ensure accurate pay apps.
• Coordinate subcontractor invoices and payments per contract terms.
• Review contracts, insurance, bonds, lien notices, and related requirements.
• Generate billings in Timberline and ERP systems.
• Review accounts receivable and respond to inquiries.
• Assist with cashflow and project forecasting.
• Prepare job costing reports for project teams.
• Reconcile subcontractors' statements and variances.
