Job summary

Leica Microsystems, a Danaher operating company, seeks a Field Applications Scientist - Confocal to provide pre- and post-sales support for confocal microscopy. You will perform demos, troubleshoot, train customers and staff, and coordinate with sales teams across Northeast regions.

You will travel up to 40% and work remote with a base in the Northeast US. A life sciences or optics background with imaging experience is essential, with advanced degrees preferred.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in life sciences or optics (Masters or PhD preferred).
• Minimum 2 years in a research environment with microscopy and digital imaging.
• Experience in a customer-facing support role.
• Teaching or training experience in imaging equipment and techniques.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert product, application and software support to customers and sales; conduct successful product demonstrations.
• Perform technical troubleshooting and trainings for customers and Leica employees; lead workshops and seminars.
• Test and confirm demo system functionality; develop imaging protocols for customer samples.
• Collaborate with customers to generate field data and application notes highlighting product benefits.
• Assist in meeting sales goals and support Widefield sales reps in assigned territory.
