Job summary

FBT Gibbons LLP is seeking a Conflicts Attorney to join the Office of Legal Affairs. You will identify, analyze, and resolve conflicts of interest across new engagements and lateral hiring, providing ethical guidance and drafting disclosures, waivers, and engagement letters.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical judgment, professional ethics, and excellent communication to interface with attorneys and business professionals across the firm.

Qualifications

• JD degree and at least three years of legal experience in a law firm.
• Active bar license in good standing strongly preferred.
• Experience with conflicts and ethics is required.
• Proficiency with MS Office and conflicts-related programs.
• Familiarity with electronic research tools and client intake processes.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze engagements and hires to identify conflict of interest issues.
• Conduct electronic research using Westlaw, Google, and similar tools.
• Prepare and review engagement letters, waivers, and ethics disclosures.
• Communicate with firm attorneys and business professionals to resolve conflicts.
• Assist in training staff on conflicts of interest procedures.
• Close client and matter accounts per firm policy.
