Job summary

FBT Gibbons LLP seeks a Conflicts Attorney to join the Office of Legal Affairs. You will identify, analyze, and resolve conflicts of interest in new engagements and hires, and draft ethics-related disclosures and waivers.

You will work across the firm with attorneys and business professionals to ensure compliant, effective conflict resolution. The ideal candidate has a JD, 3+ years of law firm experience, and strong research and communication skills.

Qualifications

• JD degree and at least three years of legal experience in a law firm.
• Active bar license in good standing preferred.
• Experience with electronic research and conflicts systems.

Responsibilities

• Review engagements and hires to identify conflict of interest issues.
• Conduct electronic research to resolve conflict and ethics issues.
• Prepare and analyze engagement letters and ethics disclosures.
• Provide guidance on conflicts and ethics matters to firm attorneys.
• Communicate with attorneys and business professionals to resolve issues.
• Assist in training staff on conflict of interest processes.
• Close client/matter accounts per firm policy.
