Job summary

BNSF Railway is seeking Conductor Trainees in Sheridan, WY to learn train operations, safety protocols, and real-time data coordination within the Transportation Department. The role requires 40 hours per week, on-call shifts, and potential seasonal work with travel within the designated region.

Training spans up to 19 weeks with company-paid on-the-job and classroom instruction, including time at the training center in Overland Park, KS.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate track switches and derails to change train routing.
• Monitor and report on daily work and operating conditions.
• Perform inspections of train cars and equipment per federal regulations.
• Work in diverse weather and safety sensitive environments, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
