Job summary

Oak View Group operates The Truth Music Venue in Nashville and seeks a Line Cook to support concerts, private events, and daily operations. You will prepare and plate items, maintain quality, and uphold safety standards in a fast-paced kitchen.

The role is part-time with an hourly rate of $21.00–$26.00. Benefits include a 401(k) Savings Plan and matching; schedule includes evenings, weekends, holidays, and events.

Qualifications

• Experience as line cook or prep cook in a commercial kitchen.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation; ServSafe certification is a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, holidays, and event days.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and plate menu items according to recipes and presentation standards.
• Set up and stock assigned workstations before each shift.
• Ensure food is prepared in a timely manner while maintaining quality and consistency.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
• Maintain proper food temperatures and storage procedures.
• Assist with food prep, portioning, and ingredient preparation as needed.
• Keep workstations, equipment, and kitchen areas clean and organized throughout each shift.
• Restock supplies and notify supervisors of inventory needs.
• Work closely with other kitchen team members to ensure efficient service during events.
• Follow instructions from the Executive Chef and Sous Chef.
• Assist with cleaning and closing duties at the end of each shift.
• Promote a safe and positive work environment.
