Job summary

Akkodis is seeking a Computer Technician in Rochester, NY to provide a mix of remote and on-site desktop support. You will troubleshoot day-to-day issues, help set up new systems, and keep organizations running smoothly. A HS diploma and 2 years’ experience are required, with strong Windows knowledge and experience in Microsoft 365.

Travel to client sites is expected; mileage is reimbursed. This role offers a hands-on IT support path with exposure to varied devices and environments.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma.
• Minimum two years related desktop support experience.
• Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and business apps.
• Experience with remote support tools (e.g., TeamViewer, ConnectWise, Datto).
• Reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license required.
• Excellent troubleshooting, time management, documentation, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote and on-site support for desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
• Install and configure operating systems, applications, and security updates.
• Support users in Microsoft 365 environments and basic Active Directory tasks.
• Maintain accurate documentation of work and system configurations.
• Travel to client sites in the region as needed (mileage reimbursed).

Job description

Akkodis is seeking a Computer Technician with a client in Rochester, NY. Must hold a high School Diploma to be considered. This role involves providing a mix of remote and on-site desktop support clients. You will be troubleshooting day-to-day issues to setting up new systems, you’ll be a key part of keeping organizations up and running.

Rate Range: $18/hr. to $22/hr. The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

• Provide remote and on-site support for desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices
