Job summary

Intralot, Inc. in Strongsville, OH, is hiring an entry-level Computer Operator for the night shift (8:30pm–8:30am). The role focuses on tier 1 monitoring support, data entry, and basic troubleshooting, with escalating issues as needed.

The ideal candidate holds an associate degree in CS/IT and has related experience; a bachelor’s degree is preferred. The position requires proficiency in MS Excel/Word, familiarity with AIX, Windows, and Linux, and the ability to work rotating shifts including

Responsibilities

• Provide technical monitoring support for systems and alert escalation.
• Operate proprietary Intralot software applications.
• Monitor system processes and escalate as needed.
• Manage IBM AIX server cluster and Windows/Linux servers.
• Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

What you bring:

Education, Training and Experience

• Associates degree in Computer Science, IT, or similar field, and one (1) year related experience, Bachelor’s degree preferred; or equivalent combination of training and experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Ability to acquire proficiency in new software applications
• Problem solving and troubleshooting skills
• Knowledge of MS Excel and Word
• Knowledge of operating systems, including AIX, Windows and Linux
• Knowledge of networking and data communications
• Ability to work a rotating shift including nights and weekends

Duties and Responsibilities

Under the direct supervision of the Operations Manager, performs the following duties and responsibilities. Other miscellaneous duties may be assigned

• Provide technical monitoring support for systems, including the following:
• Operate proprietary Intralot, Inc. software applications.
• Monitor system processes via alert software and escalated accordingly.
• Cluster of IBM AIX servers for processing transactions
• Windows servers hosting web applications
• Linux servers hosting Intralot, Inc. software applications
• Other miscellaneous duties may be assigned.
