Job summary
Option Care Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician I to work under a licensed Pharmacist in a clean room, spending at least 50% of time on compounding medications to support safe and accurate operations.
The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and at least 1 year of pharmacy technician experience, with state licensure as applicable. Candidates should demonstrate strong customer service and organizational skills and be proficient in MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 1 year of pharmacy technician experience.
- Must be licensed or registered where required by state.
Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacist with preparation and dispensing of medications per policies and state standards.
- Prepare medications to ensure accurate compounding.
- Perform basic pharmaceutical calculations to obtain correct dosages.
- Accurately label and package medications.
- Participate in assessing, managing, and reporting medication-related incidents.
