Option Care Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician I to work under a licensed Pharmacist. The role involves compounding medications in a clean room, preparing and processing prescriptions, and ensuring safe, accurate operations.

Responsibilities include assisting with dispensing, labeling, basic calculations, and reporting incidents. The position requires a high school diploma, 1 year of tech experience, and state licensure if required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year of pharmacy technician experience.
• Must be licensed or registered (if required by the state).
• Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist with preparation and dispensing of medications and supplies.
• Prepare medications for accurate compounding.
• Perform basic pharmaceutical calculations for correct dosages.
• Label and package medications accurately.
• Participate in reporting medication incidents.
• Maintain pharmacy surfaces and laminar flow hoods cleanliness.
• Inspect equipment and document issues; maintain logs.
