Job summary

Option Care Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician I to support licensed pharmacists in compounding medications in a clean room, with significant time in compounding 50% of the shift. The role requires attention to detail, basic math, and accurate labeling and packaging of medications.

Responsibilities include assisting with dispensing, site maintenance, and adherence to policies while maintaining safety and quality standards. No supervisory duties are required for this position.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 1 year of pharmacy technician experience.
• Must be licensed or registered (if required by the state)

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist with preparation and dispensing of medications according to policies and state regulations.
• Prepare medications for accurate compounding and perform basic pharmaceutical calculations.
• Label and package medications and participate in medication incident reporting.
• Ensure pharmacy surfaces and laminar flow hoods are cleaned and logs maintained.
• Inspect equipment and document failures.
• Record and maintain pharmacy temperature and cleaning logs.
