Option Care Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician I to work under the direction of a licensed Pharmacist. The role involves compounding medications in a clean room environment at least 50% of the time and supporting accurate dispensing and labeling processes.

Responsibilities include assisting with calculations, incident reporting, and maintaining clean work areas and equipment. Prior pharmacy experience is beneficial; state licensure may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be licensed or registered if required by state.
• Experience in pharmacy technician role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist with preparation and dispensing of medications per OCH policies and state regulations.
• Prepare medications so they are accurately compounded.
• Perform basic pharmaceutical calculations to obtain correct dosages.
• Accurately label and package medications.
• Participate in process for assessing, managing, and reporting medication-related incidents.
• Maintain pharmacy surfaces and laminar flow hoods cleaned and sanitized.
• Inspect equipment and document any equipment failures or defects.
• Record and maintain pharmacy temperature and cleaning logs.
