Job summary

Carter Lumber is hiring a Components Sales Representative in Raleigh to build and maintain relationships with contractors, builders, and remodelers. You will sell our full line of building materials and installed services, manage each job after sale, and gather customer data on product use and trends.

Strong communication and follow-through are essential. You will visit job sites, maintain schedules, and rely on proven sales strategies and a commission-based compensation structure with unlimited

Qualifications

• Experience selling components to contractors, builders, or remodelers.
• Knowledge of home building basics and construction processes.
• Ability to create material estimates/quotes and process special orders.
• Ability to open new accounts on a monthly/quarterly basis.
• Learn to read blueprints and provide material take-off lists.

Responsibilities

• Sell full line of building materials and installed services to local contractors, builders, and remodelers.
• Manage each sold job and maintain customer relationships for repeat business.
• Collect and update customer information on product use and trends.
• Visit job sites as needed and maintain project schedules.
