Job summary

Carter Lumber Company is seeking a Components Sales Representative to build and maintain relationships with local contractors, builders, and remodelers. You will drive sales of our full line of building materials and installed services, managing projects from quote to completion.

You will visit job sites, collect customer data on product use, and coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction in a fast-growing market.

Qualifications

• Components Sales experience required
• Knowledge of home building basics
• Create material estimates/quotes and special orders
• Open new accounts on a monthly/quarterly basis
• Learn to read blueprints and provide material take off lists
• Ability to work independently
• Strong planning and organizational skills
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite
• Attend HBA/builder/company functions as required

Responsibilities

• Sell full line of building materials and installed services; manage post-sale relationships with contractors and remodelers.
• Visit job sites as needed and coordinate with internal teams to ensure on-time delivery and customer satisfaction.
