Job summary

Carter Lumber is seeking a Components Sales Representative in Raleigh to develop and maintain strong relationships with local contractors and homeowners. You will sell our full line of building materials and installed services, manage each project from quote to completion, and keep customers informed with timely updates.

You will visit job sites, prepare estimates, read blueprints, and collaborate with yard, dispatch, and management teams to ensure project success and long-term satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Experience in selling building materials or related products.
• Understanding of home construction basics and project workflows.
• Ability to read blueprints and prepare material takeoffs or quotes.
• Proven ability to open new accounts and manage ongoing customer relationships.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with local contractors, builders and remodelers.
• Identify sales opportunities and close projects selling our full line of building materials and services.
• Visit job sites, collect information, and manage jobs after sale to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Prepare estimates/quotes, handle special orders, and coordinate with internal teams.
