Job summary

CNA Insurance is seeking a Complex Claims Consultant to handle Architect and Engineer liability claims. The role involves managing highly complex claims with large exposures, reviewing coverage, and coordinating settlements.

This position requires strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills, with a hybrid schedule (2 days per week in office). Ideal candidates will have litigation experience, mediation exposure, and insurance policy interpretation expertise, plus the ability to guide

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Typically a minimum six years of relevant experience in claims handling.
• Must have or be able to obtain Insurance Adjuster License within 90 days of hire.
• Prior negotiation experience is required.
• Professional designations such as CPCU are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage an inventory of highly complex commercial claims with large exposures.
• Verify policy coverage, establish reserves and pursue resolution strategies.
• Lead investigations to determine liability and compensable damages.
• Negotiate complex settlements and manage related litigation with counsel.
• Mentor and train less experienced claim professionals.
