Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum six years of relevant claims handling experience.
• Must obtain Insurance Adjuster License within 90 days of hire.
• Prior negotiation experience.
• Professional designations (e.g., CPCU) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage an inventory of highly complex commercial claims with large exposures, following company protocols to verify coverage and authorize disbursements within authority.
• Verify coverage and establish reserves by reviewing policy language and partnering with coverage counsel on complex matters.
• Lead focused investigations to determine compensability, liability and damages with contracts, statements and expert input as needed.
• Negotiate complex settlements and manage resulting litigation in coordination with internal and external partners.
• Establish and manage claim budgets, reserves, and ensure timely resolutions and quality service.
