Job summary

RB Global seeks a hands-on Compensation Manager to lead compensation programs across the US and Canada. You will head a three-person team, partnering with People Business Partners, Finance, Payroll and business leaders to align pay practices with organizational goals.

You will develop and manage RB Global's compensation strategy, including merit, equity, promotions and incentives, with market research to keep pay structures competitive and governance strong.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive compensation experience, including mentoring others.
• Experience running annual merit and incentive cycles for US and Canada.
• Strong market research, analysis and pricing with major survey providers.
• Experience designing incentive programs, including annual bonus and equity or long-term incentive plans.
• Working knowledge of US and Canadian compensation regulation: FLSA and provincial laws.
• Advanced Excel and data analysis; experience with HRIS compensation module (e.g., Workday).
• Outstanding communication and project management skills; executive credibility.
• Travel requirement up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage RB Global's compensation strategy and programs to attract, retain and motivate employees at all levels.
• Own the annual merit, equity, promotion and incentive programs for the US and Canada, from budget modeling through guidance and payroll handoff.
• Administer the Annual Incentive Plan: eligibility, target setting, payout calculations, accruals with Finance, and employee communications.
• Design and maintain salary structures and ranges by country, refreshing them against market movement each year.
• Design and evaluate short-term incentive programs that reward performance and align with business goals.
• Own salary survey participation and market pricing for both countries; submit and match jobs and data cuts.
• Deliver offer, promotion and equity-adjustment recommendations for Partners and recruiters.
• Run pay equity analysis and build compensation dashboards for leaders.
• Help build and maintain the job architecture: families, levels and conventions.
• Maintain governance: approval matrix for pay actions and compliance with laws.
