Job summary

S&B Houston is seeking a detail-oriented compensation analyst to analyze compensation data, develop reports, and support the design and implementation of compensation programs. The role emphasizes Excel proficiency, data integrity, and collaboration with HR and management in a hybrid work environment.

Ideal candidates will have 2–3 years in compensation analysis, strong analytical skills, and knowledge of compensation practices and regulations. Bachelor's in a related field is preferred.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience in compensation analysis or related field.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, including macros and Power Query.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of compensation practices, principles, and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Collect, analyze, and interpret compensation data to ensure internal equity and external competitiveness.
• Utilize advanced Excel skills to create complex spreadsheets, perform data analysis, and generate reports.
• Participate in compensation surveys and analyze survey results to benchmark company positions.
• Develop and maintain compensation reports, dashboards, and metrics to support decision-making processes.
• Assist in job evaluations and the development of job descriptions to ensure accurate classification and alignment with compensation structures.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations related to compensation.
• Provide support in the administration of annual compensation processes, including merit increases, bonuses, and equity awards.
• Collaborate with HR and management to communicate compensation policies and procedures effectively.
