Job summary

Fox Creek Veterinary Hospital at Creve Coeur is seeking a skilled Veterinary Receptionist to be the primary contact for clients and their pets. You will balance administrative precision with warmth across diverse interactions in a clinical setting.

Qualified candidates will have at least 1 year of front desk experience and familiarity with practice management software such as Cornerstone, Avimark, ImproMed, eVetPractice, or ezyVet.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a veterinary receptionist.
• Experience with practice management software such as Cornerstone, Avimark, ImproMed, eVetPractice, or ezyVet.
• Knowledge of veterinary terminology and vaccination protocols.
• Proficiency in appointment scheduling, multi-line phone management, and payment processing.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check in clients and patients, verify and update medical records, and confirm appointment details using practice management software.
• Answer and manage a multi-line telephone system, respond to inquiries about scheduling, refills, records, and hospital information.
• Process payments, post charges, explain invoices, and schedule follow-up appointments.
• Communicate medical information, diagnoses, and care instructions accurately and compassionately, including in sensitive situations.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR) and data entry in the practice management system.
• Coordinate with veterinarians and staff to relay client communications and maintain efficient patient flow.
• Maintain reception area and waiting room cleanliness and organization for a positive client experience.
