Job summary

The role requires at least 1 year of veterinary front‑desk experience, familiarity with veterinary practice management software, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a veterinary receptionist.
• Experience with veterinary practice management software (Cornerstone/Avimark/ImpreMed/eVetPractice/ezyVet).
• Knowledge of veterinary medical terminology, vaccination protocols, and basic diagnostic procedures.
• Proficiency in appointment scheduling, multi-line phone management, medical records management, and payment processing.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check in clients and patients, verify and update records, and confirm appointment details.
• Answer and manage a multi-line phone system, respond to scheduling, prescriptions, vaccination records, and general info inquiries.
• Process payments, post charges, explain invoices, and schedule follow-ups.
• Communicate medical information and care instructions in compassionate, emotionally sensitive situations (e.g., euthanasia scheduling).
• Maintain accurate EMR data entry in the PIMS system.
• Coordinate with veterinarians, technicians, and staff to relay messages and maintain patient flow.
• Keep reception area clean and organized to ensure a positive client experience.
