This role supports a smooth client experience, handles high-volume front desk tasks, schedules appointments, processes payments, and communicates medical information with compassion, including sensitive discussions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a veterinary receptionist.
• Familiarity with veterinary software and EMR systems.
• Excellent communication and multitasking skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check in clients and patients, update medical records, and confirm appointment details.
• Answer and manage a multi-line phone system for scheduling, refills, and information.
• Process payments, post charges, and schedule follow-ups; ensure accurate invoicing.
• Communicate medical information compassionately, including in emotionally sensitive situations such as euthanasia scheduling.
• Maintain accurate EMR and ensure timely data entry in the PIMS system.
• Coordinate with veterinarians and staff to maintain efficient patient flow.
• Maintain reception area cleanliness and organization for a positive client experience.
