Parker Center Animal Clinic is seeking a skilled veterinary receptionist to serve as the primary contact for clients and their pets, balancing administrative precision with warmth across varied interactions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a veterinary receptionist or front desk role.
• Experience with veterinary practice management software is preferred.
• Knowledge of veterinary medical terminology, vaccination protocols, and basic diagnostics.
• Proficiency in appointment scheduling, multi-line phone management, medical records, and payment processing.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check in clients and patients, verify and update medical records, and confirm appointment details using practice management software.
• Answer and manage a multi-line telephone system, respond to inquiries about scheduling, refills, records, and hospital information.
• Process payments, post charges, explain invoices, and schedule follow-up appointments.
• Communicate medical information accurately and compassionately, including end-of-life discussions when needed.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records and timely data entry in the PIMS system.
• Coordinate with veterinarians and staff to relay communications, flag urgent cases, and maintain patient flow.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area and waiting room to ensure a positive client experience.
