Job summary

Parker Center Animal Clinic is seeking a skilled veterinary receptionist to be the primary contact for clients and their pets. This role balances administrative precision with warmth across front-desk interactions in a clinical setting.

Qualified candidates will bring experience managing high-volume front desk operations, a calm presence under pressure, and a commitment to high-quality customer service in a veterinary environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a veterinary receptionist.
• Experience with veterinary practice management software (Cornerstone, Avimark, ImproMed, eVetPractice, or ezyVet preferred).
• Knowledge of veterinary terminology, vaccination protocols, and basic diagnostics.
• Proficiency in scheduling, multi-line phone management, medical records, and payments.
• Strong customer service, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Comfortable handling animals of varying sizes and temperaments.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check in clients and patients, update medical records, and confirm appointment details using practice management software.
• Answer and manage a multi-line phone system, handle appointment scheduling and prescription requests.
• Process payments, post charges, explain invoices, and schedule follow-ups.
• Communicate medical information and care instructions accurately and compassionately, including sensitive discussions.
• Maintain EMR/PIMS records and ensure timely data entry.
• Coordinate with veterinarians and staff to relay messages and manage patient flow.
• Maintain reception area and waiting room cleanliness and organization.
