Job summary

Compassion Animal Hospital in Bealeton, VA seeks a Customer Service Representative (CSR) to support our 3-doctor practice. The role may be full-time or part-time, with 35–40 hours per week typical when full-time.

You will greet clients and pets warmly, manage check-in/out, and guide care levels with confidence. You’ll educate clients on preventive care, schedule appointments thoughtfully, and document information accurately in our practice software.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year of customer service experience preferred.
• Veterinary or medical experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and pets with warmth and professionalism.
• Create a smooth flow from check-in to checkout.
• Answer phones confidently and guide clients on care levels.
• Educate clients on preventive care, services, and pet products.
• Schedule appointments to support client and team productivity.
• Document patient information in practice software.
• Process invoices, payments, and daily cash reconciliation.
• Dispense prescriptions and retail items per veterinarian instructions.
• Handle client concerns with empathy and problem-solving.
• Collaborate with doctors and technicians to ensure clear communication.
