PACS is seeking a Treatment Nurse to ensure that prescribed care is delivered in accordance with physician orders and facility policies. The role reports to the Director of Nursing and requires maintaining high-quality resident care in a long-term care setting.

Responsibilities include communicating plans of care with residents and families, documenting nursing notes, administering medications, and observing wounds with timely physician notification.

Qualifications

• Possession of a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university.
• Two (2) years or more experience, preferably in a long-term care facility.

Responsabilités

• Communicate regularly with residents and their family about Plans of Care, PT, OT and other treatment protocols.
• Excellent communication skills and strong customer service for residents.
• Chart nurses’ notes in an informative and descriptive manner that reflect the care provided to the resident, as well as the resident’s response to the care.
• Provide resident care including carrying out physician’s orders for care, including providing medication and treatment.
• Observe wounds and pressure sores and notify physicians of progress or deterioration.
• Assist in preparing and updating care plans for treatment-related issues.
• Assist physicians and other healthcare providers when making visits and conducting examinations.
