Job summary

PACS is seeking a Treatment Nurse to ensure high-quality care per physician orders and facility policies. You will collaborate with residents, families, and a care team to implement Plans of Care and coordinate treatments and medications.

The role requires a nursing degree, active RN or LVN license, CPR certification, and 2+ years in long-term care, with strong communication and documentation skills. Join us to support compassionate resident care and participate in ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Possession of a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university.
• Two (2) years or more experience, preferably in a long-term care facility.
• Maintain a current, unencumbered license as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurse.
• Current CPR certification.
• Must maintain all required continuing education for licensing.
• Must remain in good standing with the State Board of Nursing at all times.

Responsibilities

• Communicate regularly with residents and their family about Plans of Care, PT, OT and other treatment protocols.
• Provide resident care including carrying out physician’s orders for care, including providing medication and treatment.
• Observe wounds and pressure sores with prompt notification of physicians of lack of progress or deterioration.
• Assist in preparing and updating care plans for treatment-related issues.
• Assist physicians and other healthcare providers during visits and examinations.
• Participate in facility surveys (inspections) as requested by the Administrator, Director of Nursing or Assistant Director of Nursing.
